Itinerary
Day 19/06/2025 / Puerto Natales
Arrival at Puerto Natales airport. Reception and transfer to Torres del Paine National Park with a stop in Puerto Natales and Cueva del Milodom, our gateway to Torres del Paine Park. Then we will head to the hotel at a pre-arranged time for check-in. At the end of the day, we will meet in the hotel lobby, where we will have a briefing on the day-to-day of the trip. Free evening for dinner. Overnight in Rio Serrano.
Everyone must be available at Puerto Natales airport by lunchtime (Chile time zone)
Day 20/06/2025 / Torres del Paine
Departure before dawn in search of the first light of day, with a focus on observing and photographing pumas at the base of Cuernos del Paine. We will begin our journey exploring trails that will take us to an impressive waterfall, Salto Grande, with several opportunities to capture the contrast between the wild nature and the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, we will pass through small flooded areas, where the dry vegetation, a consequence of previous fires, offers unique possibilities for photographic composition. The diversity of landscapes – from grandiose mountains to wildlife and flora recovering from the fire – creates a perfect environment for creative photography.
Return to the hotel for lunch, followed by free time to rest. In the afternoon, we will travel to the shores of Lake Pehoe, where, from the Pehoe Viewpoint, we will have the chance to photograph the vast landscape, while observing the possibility of spotting pumas and other animals in their natural habitat. We will wait for the ideal light to capture unique moments until the sun sets, with opportunities to photograph wildlife and the golden light reflected in the mountains and the waters of the lake.
Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 21/06/2025 / Torres del Paine
Departure before dawn, heading to Laguna Amarga, which offers an impressive view of the Torres del Paine. This place is known not only for its dramatic landscapes, but also for the presence of pumas, which are most active at dawn. We will spend some time exploring the area, focusing on capturing images of these felines, as well as other wildlife species that inhabit the area.
Continuing on our journey, we will stop to photograph the Paine Waterfall, and along the way, we will observe the Guanacos, whose presence makes the scenery even more enchanting. Picnic lunch at Laguna Azul, where the landscape provides great opportunities for photos of the autumnal vegetation, the reflections of the Torres and, of course, pumas and foxes, which frequently cross the area.
At 4:00 pm, we will begin our first specialized search for pumas, with an experienced local guide. It will take us to strategic points, increasing our chances of capturing rare images of these predators in their natural environment.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 22/06/2025 / Torres del Paine
Departure before dawn towards Mirador Condor. We will take a moderate to challenging hike, with the aim of capturing the first light of day and capturing magical images of Torres del Paine in the background, with Lake Pehoe illuminated by the soft morning light. After taking the photos, we will stop for a coffee while we wait for the animals to be active in the area.
The main mission of the day will be to observe and photograph pumas and foxes on the nearby trails. With a bit of luck, we may spot a puma in full motion, a rare and challenging opportunity for photographers.
We will continue to the Grey Glacier region, where we will stop for lunch, surrounded by the gigantic icebergs that break off from the glacier. This is a perfect place to capture images of the contrasts between the ice and the imposing rocks in the background, as well as possible sightings of pumas along the coast. The soft light of the late afternoon creates a magical atmosphere to end the day with memorable photos.
Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 23/06/2025 / Torres del Paine
We will leave before dawn towards Laguna Amarga, where we will have another day of searching for and observing pumas with the help of a specialized guide. The region is famous for its fauna, and the chances of photographing these felines at dawn are high, since they usually move during the early hours of the day. Along the way, we will make stops to photograph the local wildlife, including foxes and guanacos, always keeping an eye out for the behavior of the pumas.
After the moderate level trek, we will return to Mirador Pehoe, where the impressive scenery with Torres del Paine in the background will be perfect for more captures at dawn. Once again, the guide will help us identify the best observation points to capture exclusive images of the wildlife.
In the afternoon, we will head to the Grey Glacier for one last opportunity to photograph the icebergs and, who knows, record the presence of pumas around the region. The late afternoon light will provide excellent conditions for dramatic photos, with the contrast of the ice against the rocky massif.
Return to the hotel and overnight.
