Amboseli is a large area where we can see: elephants, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes and giraffes. The rushes of migration and hunting introduce us to the intense beauty and drama that fills each day here. Predators stalk herds of grazing animals, recreating the ancient drama of life and death under the African sun in such an exuberantly beautiful setting.

5th day 04/02/2025  Wednesday  - Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will be one of the first vehicles to descend the six hundred meters (2,000 feet) to the Ngorongoro crater for excellent wildlife viewing. Wildlife wonders don't get much better than Ngorongoro Crater, possibly one of the most iconic game viewing areas in the world.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site (and for good reason), the cavernous, bowl-shaped crater is a caldera, formed two to three million years ago when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself. Today, the flat floor is covered in nutritious grasses and is home to unprecedented numbers of black rhinos, as well as black-maned lions, magnificent tusks and smaller plains game, but surprisingly no giraffes.

We'll let you ponder why when you visit! Spend the day exploring the crater on photo safari tours, before driving to your accommodation in southern Serengeti (Ndutu).

6th day 04/03/2025  Thursday  - Ndutu - Southern Serengeti

Ndutu is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, south of Serengeti National Park. Nyikani migration camp's location provides easy access to the main game viewing areas around Lakes Ndutu and Masek. In addition to the nearly two million wildebeest and zebra that move through the area every year, Ndutu is home to cheetahs, lions, giraffes and hundreds of species of birds. During the February calving season, wildebeests give birth to 8,000 babies per day.
